this is a really good guest comic, I think. it’s in the spirit of the strip without feeling like an imitation. great job in my opinion Matt Smith

Well-executed guest comics make me feel really good about Unwinder's Tall Comics.

I feel like the quality of guest comics is a pretty strong reflection on the quality of a comic overall.

I've done guest strips for comics that didn't have very well-defined characters, and it sucks, because you pretty much have to either make jokes that have nothing to do with the characters, invent personalities for the characters out of whole cloth, or read the archive painstakingly, taking notes whenever a character does something that seems to exhibit a personality trait.

When people do guest strips for Unwinder's Tall Comics, unless I'm completely off-base, it seems like the characters practically write themselves, and guest authors can do pretty much whatever they want with the tone and content without worrying that it won't feel like Tall Comics anymore.

unless i'm completely off-base, i can confirm this.

and that's why tall comics is the shit. IMO
