It faded into the place where all webcomics go when Lewis doesn't want to do any work.

Seriously though, I really like our discussions of philosophy here on the fora.

Lewis, what are you going to do with your philosophy degree?

If you're only concerned with benefiting people in the real world, you're being racist against all the people in other possible worlds.

I wonder how much your webcomic will affect the tenure committee.

How can you be racist against things that don't exist?

Chenjesu: Ben said "possible worlds." If we knew they didn't exist then they would be "impossible worlds," or something. Assuming that we define "world" to mean "planet populated with intelligent life," or something.

Ben: Sure, but is Lewis helping these potential people any more than he's helping real people?

Ah, but if we assume that this isn't the best of all possible worlds, then (most of) the possible people have it easy.

Philosophy also has something called impossible possible worlds. I don't remember what those are, but I'm sure Lewis would be eager to defend the concept if you want.

I like how your avatar reflects this also.

It kind of weirds me out that TV Tropes covers material from my life. Not that I'm complaining, it's just an odd Internet moment.

Actually, that is entirely coincidental. Its been my avatar on the xkcd fora for a while now. Either that, or proof of the fundamental interconnectedness of ... things.
