Enter the Request Comics #119 contest here. Which requests are good and which are bad? Will you be closer than my guesses were before I checked my records?

My guess is that they were all labeled "good" except for #104. I'm tempted to say #111 as well, but I'll just stick with #104 being the only pants one.

Although I suppose it could be a trick question, since technically no requests are marked "b*a*d;" they can only be "pants."

P.S.: Apparently the trick of inserting BBCode into the middle of words to thwart the filter now longer works, and I'm not exactly sure what else to do...

Don't worry, the bad->pants filter won't affect scoring.

Um, by which I mean I'll accept "pants" as correct for any request not labeled as good.

Is there a limit on number/frequency of guesses?

I would like to start by guessing: All good except 13 and 111.

Also: Hi, all. It has been a long time since I posted in this forum. Maybe not since Terror Island ended? Good to see you all.

If the limit is more than 1, then obviously my second guess is that both 104 and 111 are pants.

Would be symmetrically cool if the first and last two were bad, so I'll go with 3, 13, 104 and 111.

#13 was marked as pants, otherwise it wouldn't be ironic that you like it so much. I reckon #3, #56 and #111 were marked pants too. #111 especially, the "Because that's what they are" seems too unenthusiastic for the submitter to have been thinking "this is good".

#33=good
#46=good
#56=good
#104=bad
#111=good

if we get an alternate, all of them are good except the first one.

You know, you don't have to like something ironically, to like it.

Let's say a limit of two guesses per person.

Also, after some discussion with Lewis (who, by the way, is not eligible to enter the contest), I think I should reveal that exactly four of the requests were submitted as "good." This lowers the number of possibilities from 256 to 70.

So as not to penalize people who entered before now, you're allowed to change any guess you made that wouldn't work with the 4/4 split.

What's really frustrating me is that I don't remember what I put for my own request about the origami.

Okay, I'm going to say, respectively,

bad
good
good
bad
good
good
bad
bad

if you say it out loud it sounds sort of like the konami code.

Okay, since I had one guess with two pants requests and one with only one, I'll retake both my guesses.

#1: Strips #13, #30, #104, and #111 were pants requests.

#2: Same as above, but replace #13 with #33.

I work on the basis that everything is ironic. The universe conspired to make Ben like #13 so much so it could have a moment of irony.

My original guess was 4/4 split. And I have so much confidence in it I don't feel the need to make another one.

...yet.

Any prize for being the first to suggest 4 non-pants and 4 pants? Thought so, the second guess:

Good, bad, bad, bad, good, good, good, bad.

Why "dammit"? None of your guesses say that #13 is pants.

No, number #111. I told Ben that I had a hunch that it was actually "good." I've even got chatlogs if you need proof.

We have a winner!

I've emailed g0m about the prize details. Moderator declaration: this thread is now for discussing how obvious the right answer seems in retrospect.

I don't think it dawned on me how awesome comic #3 was made until I reread it. Even though its a non sequiter of sorts.
